Toei's official Youtube channel began streaming two of the well-known Japanese TV drama classics that will cross over in December 2012.
"Tokuso Saizensen" is one of the most popular and best detective drama series that aired from 1977 until 1987. The other sexy action drama "Playgirl" that won a lot of viewers are well from 1969 until 1976. In 2012, both classics will have remakes and will be entitled as "Tokuso Saizensen 2012 ~ Bakuha 0.01 Byo Mae no Onna" and "Playgirl 2012 ~ Rensa Yukai Satsujin wo Abake! Atsukute Erokute Yabai Mehyoutachi" respectively played by some of your favorite TV Tokusatsu heroes.
These dramas will air this October on Toei's satellite network and cable network "Family Gekijo". In December these series will crossover which will be entitled "Tokuso Saizensen x Playgirl 2012".
Tokuso Saizensen's new cast includes of Hiraoka Yuta (Monster Parent/Water Boys Finale), Kamio Yu (Dr. Maki in Kamen Rider OOO), RIKIYA (The Prince of Tennis), Satoi Kenta (Detective Conan 2/Tsubasa ), Watanabe Ikkei (Ultraman Cosmos: First Contact), and a guest appearance of Asami Reina (Full Throttle Girl/Water Boys 2). episodes of the original drama.
The remake of Playgirl includes casts such as Sugimoto Yumi (Go-On Silver/Go-Ongers), Nagasawa Nao,(Hurricane Blue/Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger) Ozawa Maju (The Cycle of Destiny,Maid Deka) and Ito Kazue (Miki Masaki/Juken sentai Gekiranger).
