Toy Review: Figure-rise 6 Kamen Rider Faiz

One of the first Heisei riders to have a Figure-rise 6 kit is Kamen Rider Faiz. The model kit when assembled can be compared to an S.H. Figuarts in terms of articulation. I’ve already placed the Faiz Pointer and the holster on the figure as a default. Highlights of the figure include the chest panels that swivel in preparation for his Axel Form. And to make this pre-Axel form more appealing is the Axel Watch that can be attached on the left wrist through a replacement ring. Just like Tiger & Bunny, this version of Faiz is taller than its S.H. Figuarts counterpart.

Extra parts include the Faiz Edge, 4 extra replacement wrists, a phone without the mission memory, another in Blaster mode, a Faiz Shot with holster, Faiz Pointer, Crimson Smash effects and a clear stand. The phones aside from the one in gun feature can be converted into several modes and twists due to the dynamic latch. One of the pointers attaches on the Faiz Phone in gun mode for long range attacks. The Crimson Smash effects clip together on the figure’s foot and there is a slot at the back to make the effects more sensible to use.

Since this is a model kit, there are a few more parts that are remained unpainted for you to complete the look. Or you can ditch the sticker plate all together to paint the figure the way you want it. The instruction says that it converts into Axel mode but you have to fully customize the kit to make it happen. Which quite a shame since I was hoping to have to modes in one set. Nevertheless, the proportions seem to be better and has more gimmicks than S.H. Figuarts. More to this from the video review below.
